BEEBOTS/BLUEBOTS
Resources can be expensive to buy straight off the shelf, so I made my own! You can pick up some pretty cheap boards at your local hardware store. Look for "Corflute" Beebots and BlueBots travel 15cm at a time, so anything with 15cm x 15cm squares does the trick. I used coloured contact paper on some squares, just to give students a start and end point. It's good to make patterns symmetrical so if students are racing their bots, then it's fair. I cut some timber to make obstacles 15cm x 30cm. You can buy timber that is 150mm wide so it's easy! It might seem like a bit of work, but seriously, you will have these boards for years! |

I also laminated a whole bunch of "TILES" that I use with the bots, but also with "Vernie" (Lego Boost) in a wooden maze I made. If you want to avoid timber, you can easily just draw mazes!
