CUBELETS WorkshopS

Cubelets really do appeal to any age. They are magnetic cubes which are intuitive and fun! Each Cubelet has a specific role; sense, think or act!

FREE PLAY (45-90  minute Work shop)

Everyone loves playing with Cubelets! Let your imagination run wild with these fantastic modular robot blocks. Be creative and even add lego to your creations.

Depending on the size of your group, often I have half the students experimenting with Cubelets, while the other half use my Dash Robots, then we swap.  Therefore, perfect for a 90-100 minute time slot.

CHALLENGE CARDS (60 -90 minute workshop)

Participants attempt to duplicate what is on cards using the different Cubelets to solve problems.

I have thee sets of cards.
Picture
Set 1:
Grade K-2. Students make what is on the card and show some-one. Non-competitive and often optional and just used to assist with inspiration
Picture
Set 2:
Grades 3-6 Students race each other to try to create what is on the card. When Robot Man gives the go ahead, a new card is collected and attempted

Set 3. Grades 7- Adult. Similar to Set 2 except more difficult because participants try to solve problem on card without knowing which Cubelets to use!

BLUETOOTH (75-100 minute Work SHOP)

Cubelets can be remote controlled, swap personalities and even block-coded using the iPad compatible bluetooth hats. I'm also developing some challenging puzzle cards that involve remote-controlling and coding the Cubelets using Blockly; in particular, getting the Cubelets to navigate mazes and solve other 3-D problems. Great for experienced Cubelet users!!
