Cubelets are amazing magnetic modular robotic components that assemble into amazing little robots. I have 6 sets of Cubelets which can cater for up to 24 students. (Best group size is 18 or less... however for larger groups I usually run Cubelets with another set of robots simultaneously; catering for up to 30 students). |
No matter what your age, Cubelets are amazingly fun to play with. There are basically three types of Cubelets; think, sense and act, (or processors, input and output). Students usually work in 6 groups. There's enough batteries for every child to build their own working robots. It is fantastic way to learn about robot basics, but also extend those kids who like to be creative. |
I have two sets of cards. The first set is good for Grade 3-6. The second set suits from Grade 5 - Year 10. After some familiarisation with the Cubelets, each group attempts to solve one card at a time, trying to do them quicker than the other groups, or sometimes, just working on the cards, individually. |
