CUP Toppler

Project Name: Cup Toppler

General Comment. This is can be stir up the nerves, as robots teeter on the edge of table-tops. But if you want to live it safer, try a board on the floor.

Rules FOR STUDENTS


​You must use:
-1 EV brick
-Up to 3 motors
-1 ultrasonic sensor
- Maximum 3 wheels

You must:
Build a robot that can drive around a table-top or board without falling off. It needs to be on wheels. It needs to knock up to 6-8 plastic cups off the table. 
Your robot cannot measure more than 30cm in any direction


Tips For students


Tip: making the car turn at right angles is helpful on square or rectangular tables.

Two ways of scoring:
Give the robots 60 seconds and count how many targets they knock over within the time frame. Highest amount score sheet
OR

Time the robots to see who can knock over all the targets the quickest. If you are timing each robot, make a copy of this Google Sheet to help you score.
